Informed by Adrian Piper’s theory of "Triple Negation," the project navigates three distinct pressures: the patriarchal norms of Asian society, the fetishizing Western gaze, and the clinical practices of art institutions. Through a ritual of breaking porcelain and transforming the body into a "living figurine," I aim to subvert the "ornamental silence" historically projected onto Asian women. By integrating 3D digital modeling and spatial dialogue with artists like Patty Chang and Yee Sookyung, my practice transforms the gallery from a space of passive observation into one of active, visceral resistance.
